Space Marine Command Squad painted (at last).

Now I've had four of these painted for ages but I couldn't face the standard bearer because I can't do flags and such. So I cheated. I put on transfers, then painted over them. At last a Command Squad finished...

Longest project, ever...

40k minis and scenery - picture testing.

Just a few mobile pics to show models in situ as it were. Some Ultramarines, Space Wolves and Inquisitor Lorr stuck in there for good measure. Oh and the Rhino with the Forge World doors too. These are from my mobile phone, as I took them when I was storing all the scenery I have. Some of the GW buildings look quite good - so next time they are out and about I think I'll redo these so you can see them all more clearly!

From the archives.

Thought I'd post a few of my previous painting efforts - given that graphic novels have caused a bit of a 'go-slow' on the Rune Priest front. These represent me painting slowly too! I have obviously taken the pictures too close. All blemishes are writ large. However, at a distance these look OK. I know not all advanced painting techniques are represented - I'm not an advanced painter - but you get to a point where you have to stop painting and move on  - so here we are. the Inquisitor Lorr and (original ) Cpt. Sicarius are special edition models I think, though Sicarius has been revamped since. I still think Lorr is a cool model. See what you think.

An early tank project

An Ultramarines Rhino wot I done using Forge World doors and front panel. This made it miles more interesting to paint and adds a real sense of the dramatic to the model. A little bit of dirt here and there and away you go.

One side...

The front...
The other side...

...and the rear doors ...

Still not sure about the photographer. Someone should learn him how to do it.
